This was a big one. It started in the morning with a Chinese Tea Ceremony. It involves the groom and his entourage being put through a series of tests before the groom gets access to the house to see his bride. In this case they were made to do burpies in the driveway, put make-up on each other, dance a traditional Chinese princess dance and rap to the parents before going in. I will always remember one of Jaclyns sisters, a bridesmaid yelling “NO MONEY NO HONEY” to encourage the boys not to mess up their challenges. So fun to be a part of. After the tea ceremony I got Chinese take away on the way to collecting my second shooter Mel and heading to the Jaclyns preparation.
Beautiful welcoming families ready to share their lives with me. I loved every minute of it.
